On Tuesday, August 13, Tom Ives of Applied Systems provided an in-depth look at the Applied Mobile application and its comprehensive functionalities as part of the Applied Client Network Extended Solutions Week webinar series. The software’s native app allows for a multitude of users to acess agency management system information on-the-go, while also maintaining the familiarity of workflows in Applied Epic and Applied TAM.
Below is an overview of the different functions covered during the webinar, which includes usage metrics and a few key features.
1. The Importance of Navigation
At the beginning of the webinar, Ives demonstrated basic navigation with regard to logging into the application via the icon on a smartphone home screen.
The main navigation in Applied Mobile provides a list view of various app functions, including “Accounts.” Prior to the launch of Mobile, there existed only a global perspective without specific account details. Now, the application allows users to enter a specific account and see all available details and important documents relevant to that account.
2. Accessing & Filing Claims
In-app claims permit users to file a claim direct at the tap of a finger. Users can also open existing claims and access the information stored around that respective claim, including “Claim Status.” Ives also indicated the importance of this functionality as it targets users in the service space. This function is especially crucial should someone need to file a claim after hours.
3. Invoicing
The ability to access and take payment for open invoices directly through the application is a true game-changer for agencies and brokerages using Mobile. This feature further streamlines key claim processes all while keeping confidential information secure via the Applied Cloud. Below is a screenshot of how this works in the app.
4. Risk Analysis
Another key feature that is unique to Mobile is risk analysis. Through both “Narrative” and “Supplement” functions, users can choose a specific type of establishment and access coverage options that could potentially apply, which puts agents or brokers ahead of the game when presenting information to end users.
5. Customization
An additional function of the application includes the ability to toggle to “Settings” and prioritize or hide different types of accounts on the home screen so that your app is truly unique to you. Following the customization, your home screen will update with what is most valuable to you in descending order.
This solution is compatible with Apple and Android devices and designed with flexibility and ease-of-use in mind — a functional tool for all insurance employees. If you’re looking to bring your agency or brokerage into the digital age of insurance, Mobile is the way to go. With 2,000 agencies and brokerages already on board and a 90% increase in active users in the past year, what are you waiting for?
