As technology has become more ingrained in day-to-day operations, Applied Client Network (ACN) has taken the next step into the digital space with its new A-List digital badging education program. Through the program, ACN Advantage members have the opportunity to complete online sessions and earn badges to demonstrate their knowledge of Applied Systems software and share said knowledge with their peers. The program is designed to facilitate tracking and sharing knowledge with fellow Advantage members.
Badge journeys are focused on various areas of Applied Epic, Applied TAM and Mobility. Once a user completes a badge journey, the earned badge will display within their member profile on AppliedClientNetwork.org and can be added to their LinkedIn profile under “Licenses & Certifications.”
Several Advantage members have already earned badges and provided feedback regarding the program:

“We recently moved from Sagitta into Epic as of last April. I change carriers 4 years ago and am continuing to learn more about the insurance industry every day. The workflows, handouts and training that you offer for your software, allows someone new to the industry the opportunity to learns as you go and not feel like they “miss” steps. All the E&O level of security and defaults that are built in are very helpful and tend to lead someone through the steps as opposed to just telling them what to do. Understanding the why, helps to explain the how. These webinars from people in the field and not just the software developers, allows a personal view to why things are done certain ways. This to me has offered a clearer understanding of how and why certain processes exists and allows me the opportunity to see how another agency utilizes the software and gives me a new perspective in how we do things at our agency.
The constant updating and continuing education you offer is great and I can’t thank you enough for that! I work primarily in the accounting side, but also have my license for P&C. I’m not an accountant, but the ability to learn and work through the flow your software has been so much easier with the aids you offer both in the software itself and on your network. I know I always have a reference point to look back on whenever I feel “stuck” or need help!”
Cindy Perdicaro, AssuredPartners, Inc.
"I love the idea of the badge as it funnels a group of like courses together for ease of viewing. [...] I have a teammate (I work on the corporate side in training and conversions) that didn’t know about the badges until I told her I had just earned mine; she was excited to see the opportunity to watch, learn and earn!
The Accounting Badge is a high level for a non-accounting person for the most part (there were at least two that were more my level). I would have never watched this series if not for the badge, so thanks for the push on that. I did point out a couple of these webinars to a co-worker that was struggling, [and] he was really happy to have the resource and would watch them in the coming weeks."
April Simmons, Mallory Agency
"I enjoyed the classes! They were great as a refresher course for myself since I’ve been working in TAM now for many years. [...] Overall, I think they are wonderful and should be utilized by all agencies in their onboarding process."
To assist with the program’s launch, ACN Board Member Gillian Van Kempen, hosted a tutorial for digital badging to help users navigate the program.
